Emerging Troubadour To Perform In Support Of New Album “Field Songs”
June 2, 2011 – Los Angeles, CA – Singer-songwriter William Elliott Whitmorehas been steadily building a reputation as an absolutely stirring live performer able to convert crowds with just his banjo and voice. On a recent sold out tour with rock singer Chris Cornell, Whitmore’s performances ended each night with loud resonating applause from the previously uninitiated crowds. On his forthcoming new album Field Songs, due out July 12th via Anti-Records, the talented troubadour utilizes a powerful singing voice and a stark dramatic sound rooted in bluegrass, blues and folk protest music to musically document a vanishing American landscape.
Whitmore will be taking his fiery songs and heartfelt passion on the road for a series of performances in support of his new album Field Songs
“Whitmore writes songs as honest as Abe Lincoln, takes to the road to share these songs with rooms full of people who’ve likely never heard them, and turns these strangers into fanatics nightly.” – Creative Loafing
