Phish’s 2010 outing was one of “25 Must-See Summer Tours” named by SPIN, which praised the band’s “epic, musically adventurous shows” while Rolling Stone observed: “[Phish] delivered some serious rock bang for its recessionary buck…with music that taps into every aspect of their quarter-century career together.” The Denver Post praised their return to Telluride, noting: “In what many consider the most anticipated show in recent years…Phish heartily rewarded its most lucky followers with a memorable mountain event that ranks on the very top shelf of the 27-year-old band’s trophy case.”
In celebration of Record Store Day, Phish will release Two Soundchecks, a 7-inch vinyl record that will be available exclusively at participating independently owned record stores beginning April 16. Two Soundchecks marks the band’s first-ever live vinyl record and their first release in conjunction with Record Store Day. The 7-inch, which will be a limited edition of 2,000 hand-numbered copies, features an instrumental jam from the soundcheck of Phish’s third show of a sold out three-night stand at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California in 2010 and an especially exotic soundcheck from Hartford, Connecticut in 2009.
