Pop superstar Katy Perry announced her “California Dreams 2011” world tour is coming to The Palace on Tuesday, June 28 at 7:30 p.m. Marina & The Diamonds will open the show.
Tickets at $48 general admission floor and reserved go on sale this Saturday, January 29 at 10 a.m. at Palacenet.com, Livenation.com, The Palace Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations.

To support her platinum-selling sophomore album Teenage Dream, Perry will kick off the California Dreams tour on February 20 in Lisbon, Portugal, traveling throughout Europe, the UK, Australia and Japan before hitting stateside in June.
Perry is planning on interacting with fans through social media networks throughout the “California Dreams” tour. Using Facebook Places/Deals, fans will be able to check in to the venues each night to receive special treats. Fans will also be able to submit their own photos of the show via Twitter which will be incorporated into the live show and also live on katyperry.com. In addition, Perry has also partnered with I Love All Access to provide a variety of VIP ticket packages, including premium seats, meet and greets, photo ops, pre-show parties and more. As announced last week, Perry will perform at this year’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles on
February 13. Six-time nominee, Perry is up for four awards this year including the coveted Album of the Year, along with Best Pop Album, Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Teenage Dream” and Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg. Perry has also been nominated for two BRIT awards for International Album and International Female Solo Artist. The BRIT awards will be handed out live on February 15 at the O2 Arena in London.
Teenage Dream was released in August, 2010 and has since sold five million copies world-wide. The album’s first single, “California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg was the biggest selling song of 2010 according to Soundscan with 4,398,212 tracks scanned. After “California Gurls” spent six weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, Perry scored two follow-up number ones, with “Teenage Dream” and her current single “Firework,” making her the first female artist in 11 years to score three Billboard number one singles from the same album.
Perry is gearing up to launch the album’s fourth single “E.T.” which will impact radio next month. She will soon shoot the video with director Floria Sigismondi (Marilyn Manson, Bjork, David Bowie, Christina Aguilera, Muse, The White Stripes).
Earlier this month, Perry won two People’s Choice Awards for “Favorite Female Artist” and “Favorite Online Sensation” — awards voted on by fans. Perry won a People’s Choice Award in 2009 for “Best Pop Song” with her debut anthem “I Kissed A Girl.” Over the course of her career, she has also won a BRIT Award, two MTV Europe Music Awards, an NRJ Music Award, and two Teen Choice Awards, among other international honors.
Over the past year, Perry has graced the cover of Rolling Stone, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Harpers’ Bazaar, Seventeen, Nylon and Lucky and currently appears on the cover of Maxim’s January issue.
Marina Diamandis, better known by her stage name of Marina & The Diamonds, is a Welsh singer-songwriter. Her stage name, Marina and the Diamonds, consists of Diamandis’s first name and the translation of her surname which means Diamonds in Greek.
Her debut studio album, The Family Jewels, was released in February 2010 and went certified gold in the United Kingdom. The album was released to the U.S. in May and reached number two on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart.
