Staind seem to have always kinda gotten a bad wrap in the music world. Sure they’ve sold millions of records, landed a slew of heavy rotation hits, and become somewhat of a household name with America, but no one thought they would ever last this long (of shake their Fred Durst affilation).
With front man Aaron Lewis getting set to embark on a major solo tour it seems only perfect for their record label to cash in on a greatest hits package just before Christmas but with that said Staind are worthy of this treatment all the same and have finally ridden themselves of the nu-metal tag that seemed to linger around them.
Not only do you get all the singles, (and there are a lot of em) you as well receive a few extra little ditty’s including a remixed track from their earliest days that uncovers a very youthful energetic band that is far from what stands today. Covering their whole career this CD easily shows how maturity and song writing skills have escalated from being an average hard rock group to seasoned hit makers that will have songs etched in our minds for years to come.
