The new outing from Blindside is simply an amazing cd that just has to be heard. Easily one of the better releases of the summer, Blindside brings forth a familiar mainstream sound that is distinctly similar to a band like Papa Roach and P.O.D. Blindside can easily make the top of the charts with a little recognition, promotion, and fans that appreciate the beauty of good hard rock. While this cd isn’t as hardcore as their previous effort, the cd conveys tons of emotion mixed with aggressive, thick-chugging riffs, thought-driven lyrics, and touches of classic rock.
Blindside makes their major label debut on Elektra, and what better then to start with a brilliant cd that is destined for platinum sales. Songs like “Caught a Glimpse” and “Pitiful” have incredibly catchy hooks, and most of the songs blend softer moments with pure aggressive rock . In fact, almost all of the songs have incredibly catchy riffs and hooks. Satisfaction can be given to anyone listening, for the first time, and many times after. There are some softer tracks within the cd, and they aren’t a bad thing at all.
The first thing you should do on August 20th is head down to your nearest CD store, and pick up a copy of this great cd. Maybe this band will be huge. No, this band WILL be huge. Time will tell.
