Wind-Up has done it again. It seems that 12 Stones has what it takes to be one of the biggest bands; hard rock grooves, boy band looks, and a good marketing team at Wind-Up behind them.
12 Stones self titled album, due out in late April, produced and mixed by Jay Baumgardner (drowning pool, coal chamber, and more) will be huge and they will be everywhere. Making this year a great year for Wind-Up records. First with Creed’s release and then with these guys.
This band is just straight up hard-rock with some attitude. From the get go, you have a sense of how talented these guys are and finding out that their sound has some very catchy riffs and vocals.
Their first single ‘Broken”, due to hit radio here soon, very catchy riff packed tune. The guitar riff reminds me alittle of early Creed. Then out of no where, you get some attitude through some growling, not over powering but definitely adding some good tone to the song.
Album not even out yet, no one to judge it but us, these guys make it on a soundtrack. “My Life” will be on the upcoming movie “The Scorpion King”. “My Life” is going to be another reason this band getting big. Groove filled song with great vocals again. Perfect band in a perfect stop. This cd has ‘radio hits’ written all over it.
The only thing holding this back is the fact that there are too many of these types of bands out. They might just get mixed in, but you never know.
Creed, Finger Eleven, Breaking Point, and any hard rock lovers, definitely get this album. No Regrets.
