Nico Vega, are true California rockers and it shows in their latest EP release Fury Oh Fury with their head moving beats, raw vocals, and powerful guitars. You can almost feel the energy that was put into this album coming out of your speakers. This energy is carried on stage during their performances. The band has opened for No Doubt in LA, which is fitting with very powerful female lead vocals by Aja Volkman. Nico Vega are currently out on a sold-out North American run supporting Imagine Dragons. Aja recently spoke about her marriage to Imagine Dragons’ front man Dan Reynolds and bringing their daughter on the road to make it a full family affair on tour.
There are two favorite tracks on this EP that I cannot stop playing. The second song on the EP “Beast” is a raw powerful song with an infectious guitar riff and foot stomping drums that will keep you coming back for more. “Beast” was recently featured in the trailer for the video game BioShock Infinite, Tom Cruise’s new film Jack Reacher, The Hobbit as well as several others. My other favorite song is “Easier” because it reminds me of the great early U2 songs with the amazing vocals, and rhythmic delay.
Overall this EP is a must buy, I personally cannot stop listening to it and I can’t wait to hear more from them in the coming years. Bravo Nico Vega, you have created a great listening experience.
