River City High – Won’t Turn Down

Very impressive album from the start to finish. Just the energy in this band is amazing. I can’t imagine them live. Now to the nitpicking.

This band reminds me of an edger Goo Goo Dolls. Very punkish tone then with a rusty voice added in. I don’t know how this group makes it work, but its a good combination.

As for a little overview of tracks that stand out from the rest. “Belle Said” might be the next radio hit because of a catchy chorus and guitar rif. VERY CATCHY. “Runaround” has another great chorus with some great vocals. Just pure jamming material. Get in the car and enjoy.

This album is full of catchy tunes that just make you wanna bang your head, this might be just some good rock ‘n’ roll meets pop/punk that works. Hopefully these guys have some good backing and make it to the radio because if they do watch out for River City High.

This might be A BUY if you are into the rock ‘n’ roll/pop/punk.
