With their latest addition to their collection of albums, Dark Light, Finish Goth-rock sensation H.I.M. has truly set the stage for Goth-rock. No longer will H.I.M. be known only as the favorite band of skate sensation MTV playboy Bam Margera. People will now know the true meaning of the heartagram.
The masterful melodic vocal style of front man Ville Valo is just the icing on the cake. The guitar riffs of Linde mixed with the key play of Burton, smooth jazz bass sounds of Migé, and rhythm of drummer Gas make Dark Light a truly musical album that commands the attention of all and seem to beg to be listened to. With hits such as Rip out the Wing of a Butterfly, and Vampire Heart make this album one of my favorites.
